The 2019 First Meeting of Tokyo Section Executive Committee was held on Wednesday, March 27, from 12:00 p.m. at the Kikai Shinko Kaikan building（Japan Society for the Promotion of Machine Industry), Tokyo with 19 participants include two observers.

The 2019 Annual General Assembly of Tokyo Section Life Members Affinity Group
The 2019 Annual General Assembly of Tokyo Section Life Members Affinity Group was held on Wednesday, March 27 from 2:00 p.m. at the Kikai Shinko Kaikan building.
The number of attendees was 27. Activity report for 2018 and Action plan for 2019 were presented.

The 2019 Annual General Assembly of Tokyo Section was held on Wednesday, March 27 from 2:30 p.m. at the Kikai Shinko Kaikan building.
The number of attendees was 31. New officers and members of the 2019/2020 Executive Committee were approved. Activity and Financial reports for 2018, and Action and Budget plans for 2019 were presented.

It was reported that Tokyo Section received “2018 R10 Membership Retention Large Section Award”, and Ms. Mayumi SUZIKI, Secretary, IEEE Japan Council Industry Promotion Committee (Past Chair, IEEE Tokyo Section, Young Professionals Affinity Group) received “2018 R10 Young Professionals Outstanding Volunteer in Industry Award”.
Dr. Tokuda, Chair, IEEE Tokyo Section presented plaque to Ms. Mayumi SUZUKI.
The 2019 First Lecture of Tokyo Section
After the 2019 Annual General Assembly of Tokyo Section, the 2019 First Lecture of IEEE Tokyo Section was held at the Kikai Shinko Kaikan building with 43 participants.
The lecturer was
Dr. Junichi NAKAMURA, Brillnics Japan Inc.
The lecture was entitled
” Development and Key Technologies of the CMOS Image Sensor”.
Celebration for the 2019 New Fellows
After the lecture of Tokyo Section, Celebration for the 2019 New Fellows was held.
Five members were newly selected as IEEE fellows from Tokyo Section this year, and all of them attended the celebration.
Dr. Tohmori, the chair of Tokyo section Fellow Nominations Committee, introduced new fellow members’ citations.
Dr. Tokuda, the chair of Tokyo section, presented new fellow members with IEEE logoed plaques and each new fellow gave an acceptance speech.
After that, the celebration party was held in the same building.
