Young Researchers and Students are encouraged to apply for one of the following
award contests. Application buttons are found in the online submission
form.
Young Scientist Award (YSA)
Young Scientist Award (YSA) will be awarded by APSAR 2013 to several distinguished
young scientists/engineers who
(1) must be “35 years old or under” on Sept. 1, 2013;
(2) should have a paper, of which she/he is the principal author, submitted
and accepted for oral or poster presentation at a technical session of
the Conference.
The applicants must check the button for “YSA Application” at the abstract
submission procedure.
The YSA Selection Committee will nominate a limited number of the candidates for YSA, by considering the abstract review results. The selected candidates are notified before the final paper submission deadline (i.e. before the early-bird registration deadline). Winners of the award are finally selected from the candidates, based on the evaluation of both the submitted full papers and presentations at the technical sessions at the Conference. Also, the candidates must provide copies of their valid formal documents to show the date of birth at the conference registration desk (passport, driver’s license, etc. passports are preferable), and are expected to participate fully in the scientific activities of the Conference.
Student Paper Award (SPA)
Student Paper Award (SPA) will be awarded by APSAR2013 to several superior
students who
(1) must be “students” on Sept. 1, 2013;
(2) should have a paper, of which she/he is the principal author, submitted
and accepted for oral or poster presentation at a technical session of
the Conference.
The applicants must check the button for “SPA Application” at the abstract
submission procedure.
The SPA Selection Committee will nominate a limited number of the candidates
for SPA, by considering the abstract review results. The selected candidates
are notified before the final paper submission deadline (i.e. before the
early-bird registration deadline).
In addition to oral/poster presentation at the technical sessions, the
candidates must make an additional short presentation at the Student Paper
Contest (SPC), which will be held on Sept.23, 2013. The guideline of the
SPC will be sent at the notification of the SPA nomination. Also, the candidates
must provide copies of their valid Student ID at the conference registration
desk, and are expected to participate fully in the scientific activities
of the Conference.
