『IEEE Photonics Society Kansai Chapter特別講演』を今年も開催いたします。

The annual IEEE Photonics Society Kansai Chapter Special Seminar, which has been programmed as the joint session with collocated IEICE/IEE joint meeting on photonics in Kansai area in January every year, will be held again this year.

“SEE THE LIGHT” – 60th Birthday of Solid-State Laser

Theodore Harold MaimanがHughes Laboratoriesでルビーレーザ発振実験に成功してから、2020年5月16日（土）でちょうど60年になります。
May 16 (Sat), 2020 is the 60th anniversary of the first coherent light emission from ruby laser invented by Theodore Harold Maiman of Hughes Research Laboratories.

これを記念して、IEEE Photonics Society, OSA, SPIEが学会の垣根を越えて“SEE THE LIGHT”キャンペーンを2020年1月より展開いたします。

Educational Seed Funding Grant 2020
”SEE THE LIGHT”キャンペーンの一環として、IEEE Photonics SocietyではSTEM教育に対するイノベーティブな草の根活動を資金面で支援する助成プログラムEducational Seed Funding Grant 2020を整備いたしました。
具体的には、主に児童生徒（小中高）を対象とした光学全般に関する教育イベント（講演会や出張授業・実験など）に係る必要経費の一部を助成するものです。
本助成プログラムの活用を希望されるイベント主催者は、こちらからIEEE Photonics Society本部へ直接お申し込み下さい。(SurveyMonkeyのページへジャンプします)
