【概要】　　　IEEE Photonics Society関西チャプターでは、国際光年を記念するイベントとして、フォトニックデバイスの最先端技術に関する講演会を企画しました。フォトニクスにおける革命的な技術として期待されている「フォトニック結晶」について、この分野のパイオニアである野田進先生にその現状と将来についてご講演いただきます。また、光演算や超高速フォトニクスの研究で世界をリードされている河口仁司先生に、そのキーとなる光デバイスについてご講演いただきます。大学院生レベルを対象とししたチュートリアル的な内容を含めて最先端の研究成果を分かりやすくご紹介いただきます。
