IEEE Reliability Society Japan Joint Chapter

Chapter Awards

In IEEE Reliability Society Japan Joint Chapter, Chapter Awards system was founded and has been working since 2003. From now on, we'd like to make it more and more substantial.
The points of this system are as follows;

Purpose

Promote the recognition and understanding to IEEE, finding and increasing new members of Reliability Society Japan Joint Chapter, as well as attempt to improve the activities of researchers and engineers who are engaged in reliability and safety and raise the contribution of Japan to whole IEEE Reliability Society.

Awards

The following three kinds of categories are provided.

(1)	Best Paper Award	Present to the authors of the paper which has a scientifically remarkable contribution among the papers appeared in Reliability and Safety related academic journals including IEEE Trans. on Reliability.
(2)	Outstanding Young Scientist Award	Present to the young researchers (included graduate students and bachelor students) of less than 35 years old who had a result which deserves the information dispatch from IEEE Trans. on Reliability among the academic lectures, symposiums and meetings which are sponsored or cosponsored by IEEE Reliability Society Japan Joint Chapter.
(3)	Reliability Engineering Award	Present to the engineer who had big distinguished cotribution to the development of reliability and safety technology.

Judging system

A selection committee is established respectively for every prize, and examination and selection are performed with the recommendation from the study group's chairman and chapter members.

Awarding ceremony and official announcement

Awarding ceremony will be done at IEEE Reliability Society Japan Joint Chapter general meeting or symposium. The names of the winners will be listed on the Web page.
