Associate Professor, Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology
Koichi Suyama received his D. Eng. degree in mathematical engineering and information physics from the University of Tokyo in 1990.
From 1990 to 1993 he was with the Department of Computer Science, Chiba Institute of Technology.
In 1993 he joined the Department of Electronic and Mechanical Engineering, Tokyo University of Mercantile Marine, as an associate professor.
From 1998 to 1999 he was a visiting scientist at the Department of Nuclear Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
He is now an associate professor at the Department of Maritime Systems Engineering, Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology.
His research interests include control system safety, time-delay systems, and control system design.
He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE), Japan.
