Biography

Dr. Akihiko Masuda is currently a Professor of Teikyo University of Science & Technology. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Yokohama National University, and completed his PhD in Engineering from the University of Electro-Communications. From 1962 to 1999, he joined NEC Corporation and has been engaged in QC and Reliability Engineering for telephone switching, communications satellites, and microwave communications equipments. He is a member of IEEE, ASQ, IEICE, JSQC, REAJ and JIMA. He is now a Japanese NC chairman of IEC/TC56 and a chairman of Reliability Study Committee of IEICE.

益田昭彦：昭37横浜国大・工・電気卒、平11電通大大学院博士了。昭37日本電気株式会社入社、電話交換機、通信衛星、マイクロ波通信機器の品質管理、信頼性技術などを歴任。平5同社CS品質推進部主席技師長。平11より帝京科学大学理工学部教授。博士（工学）、平11日本品質管理学会品質技術賞受賞。平16工業標準化事業経済産業大臣表彰。研究分野−品質管理、信頼性工学、安全性工学、環境管理工学。IEEE、ASQ、電子情報通信学会、日本品質管理学会、日本信頼性学会、日本経営工学会。IEC/TC56国内専門委員会委員長。元日本信頼性学会副会長、電子情報通信学会信頼性研究専門委員会委員長。消費生活アドバイザー。
