Year 2006 Third Meeting of IEEE Tokyo Section Executive CommitteeYear 2006 Third Meeting of IEEE Tokyo Senction Executive Committee was held at at the conference room of Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. from 3pm on Friday September 8.
The Victor VHS Milestone Presentation CeremonyThe VHS (Video Home System) developed by Victor Company of Japan, Limited (JVC) was approved as an IEEE Milestone on February 14, 2006. The Victor VHS Milestone presentation ceremony sponsored by the Tokyo Section was held at Hotel Okura at 11:00 on Wednesday, October 11. Dr. E. Ohno, Trustee of the IEEE History Center,explained the background of the approval. Professor S. Takeuchi, IEEE Region 10 Director, presented a commemorative plate to Mr.Masahiko Terada, President of JVC.
2008 IEEE Fellow NominationAnyone can make a nomination of the IEEE Fellow. Many nominations are welcome. The deadline for the nomination is March 1st, 2007. General outline of the IEEE Fellow system in Japanese, the latest guidance for filling up of the nomination form, and other information about the Fellow nomination can be seen on Tokyo Section Web site. The IEEE Tokyo Section will issue the endorsement of Tokyo Section Chair at Tokyo Section member's requests.
