Technical Workshop on
"Advanced Rader and Sensing Technologies for Social Security"

Oct. 26 2013, 13:00 - 17:00
Kansai Univerisity, Takatsuki Muse Campus, M706

Summary
Focusing on one topic of the IEEE MTT-S Kansai Chapter's most important strategic research area, "radar sensing systems and digital signal processing technologies", we have held a technical workshop on "Advanced Rader and Sensing Technologies for Social Security". The rader sensing systems are contributing to the social problems involving safety and security nowadays, and are expected to make further technological progress. For example, in order to prevent from great damages by guerrilla-type heavy rains or tornadoes, high-performance meteorological radars are being used to detect and estimate changes in weather. For another, millimeter wave radars are becoming widespread in anti-crash systems on vehicles aiming to realize a society without accidents. In this workshop, we invited the leading experts from such fields to receive lectures on the latest radar technologies, being developed in various areas.
